We believe that all pupils, regardless of their needs should be able to access a broad and balanced curriculum, and reach their full learning potential at our school. We closely monitor how all of our children are progressing both academically, socially and emotionally, but are particularly keen to ensure that children with special needs or who are vulnerable are well-supported.
In line with our school values and ethos, we continually strive to meet the needs of our pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the following 4 broad areas of need as detailed in the new SEND Code of Practice 2014:
We are supported by the Salford Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school and access an Inclusive Curriculum. The Local Authority SEND Services and Provision can be found as part of their ‘Local Offer’, detailed on the Salford LA website.

SEND Complaints Procedure
If you have any queries regarding the SEND provision we offer please speak to the Phase Leader and SENDCo in the first instance. If they do not resolve your complaint to an acceptable standard please make an appointment to see the Head of School, Gemma Lavelle or Executive Headteacher, Wendy McCormack. Please also refer to the Complaints Policy.

Salford Information Advice and Support Service (SIASS) is a free, confidential and impartial service for parents/carers offering a single point of regular and consistent contact. We can explain how special educational needs are identified and assessed and who you should talk to. We can also tell you what your rights and responsibilities are.also a parental support service accessible to all parents and carers a parental support service accessible to all parents and carers.
