Key Stage 2 were incredibly lucky on Wednesday 13th October when Sean Gaffney came to visit our children and lead them in a fun and active fitness circuit.
Sean spent his early life in the marines and after a freak accident involving a cannon he had to have his leg removed. But Sean didn't let that hold him back! Instead he decided to become an athlete where he represented Great Britain in a whole variety of competitions.
Before the event, the children raised lots of money for school sports equipment and for the charity 'Sports for Schools'. They then took part in a fitness session lead by Sean. After that, Sean gave an inspiring assembly where he detailed his life story and explained how he overcame the obstacles which he has faced.
