Lark Hill School Sports Clubs

‘Morning Move it’ is Here!!

On Monday boys and girls from Lark Hill took part in the first ‘Morning Move it’ session. The children started their day right by taking part in physically active dances. It was great fun and we all look forward to the next one. The sessions take place every Monday and Tuesday from 8:30am - 8:50am. If you would like to take part then please ask the office for a form and return it the following day

At Lark Hill we strive to provide a broad range of after school clubs that will inspire our children to lead an active lifestyle. Our aim is to show that there is a sport out there for everyone and everyone can have a chance to succeed.

The table below shows the clubs that we have put on so far and our plans for the future.

Hockey

On Friday 22nd January Lark Hill took a year 5/6 Hockey team to the quick sticks final held at St Edmund’s. The team played valiantly to win their group stage and progress into the final four. The quality of hockey was extremely high and the team finished 4th out of the 44 schools that entered. A huge congratulations to you all!

Girls Football Tournament

On Wednesday 10th of February Lark Hill took a team of year 5 girls to Oasis academy to play in a football tournament against other local schools. The girls played 5 games in total, drawing the first 2 with some ferocious defending from Darci and Katie. The girls won their third match thanks to goals from the tenacious Coral. Unfortunately the next two teams were too good, as Lark Hill struggled to get out of their own half. Despite our ‘never say die’ attitude the girls lost the final two games.

Overall we finished in 3rd place which is a great result and gives us a target to try and beat next time.

A big thank you to all of the girls that attended, the staff at Oasis and Andy Cardall for helping out on the day.
