THIS WEEK! MONDAY 8TH MAY - FRIDAY 12TH MAY
Now in its 16th year, I CAN’s Chatterbox event aims to raise awareness around the importance of good speech, language and communication (SLC) skills for all children.
Chatterbox 2017 will take place from Monday 8th May 2017 and run for the entire week, giving nurseries and early years settings the opportunity to participate in five days of fun and engaging activities designed to get children chatting.
We are providing five quality downloadable educational resources designed by our very own speech and language experts, which will focus on the core areas of children’s early language including:
• Listening and attention
• Understanding what is said
• Learning and using new words
• Building sentences and talking socially
ASK THE STAFF ALL ABOUT IT & LOOK FOR PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE!

Welcome to Nursery
We are your Nursery teachers and support staff this year and we can’t wait to meet you and all of your new friends.
We know that you will all settle into our Nursery and we look forward to a very happy and successful year. We want our classroom to be the best in the school so we expect kind hands and kind feet, respect for our classroom and garden and to see everyone always trying their best.
Nursery is a very important year for you. You will learn to become more independent. You will make lots of new friends,we will be exploring numbers, mark making, art and understanding our world by following whatever it is YOU are interested in!
Keep checking back for all our news as the year moves along!
Want to receive photos and observations of your child's learning and playing in school? We'd also love you to send in photos and comments about what your child is interested in at home and their comments from the Home Take Away Menu activities (on this page soon!) These could then be saved in your child's electronic learning journal.
Please make sure your child's teacher has your email address and then look for the link to click on. It's as simple as that!
